The beautiful Alara river is nearby and it being surrounded by the crystal clear beaches of the Meditteranean sea, and the Taurus mountains, Avasallar is definitely one of the most picturesque places of Alanya province.
Avsallar is extremely compact, and every store is in walking distance. Avsallar is recommended for people who appreciate and enjoy nature, and like to live in tranquility.
ActivitiesYou are able to take hiking trips, or picnics in Avsallar due to its close proximity to the pine tree forests, along with diving trips in the sea as it is rich with aquatic life. Most beaches in the area are very shallow which makes the sea very easy to access.
The more adventurous can climb to the top of Alarahan Castle and visit the ancient caravanserais believed to date back to the 13th century. In Avsallar there is also a paint ball park and trails for riding ATVs.
ShoppingAvsallar is quite a small compact area of Alanya, meaning that most daily facilities are in close proximity. Avsallar, outside of touristic areas, mainly just has grocery shops, fruit and vegetable markets, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies and hardware stores.
With the occasional locally owned clothes shop. In the more touristic areas, you may have access to more well-known stores. Though a lot of locals that live in Avsallar, tend to go to Alanya’s shopping districts for more classy items.
Public transportationAvsallar has excellent transportation. The main highways cuts through the town, and takes you right to Alanya, Antalya.
There are always many service-vans bringing people to Alanya, or buses. Both come by frequently. There are also taxis for local transport, or longer distance travels.
Food & diningIn Avsallar, a lot of the dining areas are locally owned. In the locals parts of Avsallar, there are a few Turkish restaurants and cafes.
Though if you wish for other cuisines, there is better variety in touristic areas which are along the seashore.
NearbyNear Avsallar there are a few areas neighbouring it, such as Türkler and Incekum which are both more touristic than Avsallar.
However, Incekum has got camping grounds right on the beach promenade. It is a place where many locals go for a day or so with family and friends to relax, and eat good food. There are also nearby water parks that you are able to visit. For those playing golf it will take you around 1 hour to reach the golf courses in Belek.
